Okay, so I said I would post something everyday. Obviously, that hasn’t worked out very well. Some of that had to do with a lack anything meaningful to say, some had to do with my schedule which got fairly busy near the first couple weeks of June. I skipped a few day, then a few days more, and so on.
Well, life’s like that. I can’t promise I’ll post every day. In fact I’m sure I never did promise that. *Important life lesson: always leave yourself and out.* I will, however, try to continue posting more often than, say, once every six months.
To wit, short stories. Writing has its own special rewards, especially when you complete a work. Finishing a short story, even just the first draft, has always made me…happy. It gives me a sense of accomplishment, that my day hasn’t been wasted. And of course, the elan of knowing I’m still pursuing my dream. Will the story sell or not, who can say? It would be nice to know everything I wrote was a guaranteed sale, but that’s not the case. I admit that part remains a mystery to me, I’ve always thought all my stories are gold. I guess there is just no accounting for taste.
