My story, Dead Man’s Hand, published in the Game On! anthology is available for an Aurora nomination in the Best Short Story category. This past year I’ve broken my back, nearly all my ribs on the right side, and my clavicle. Healthwise I’m doing fine, but since I’ve lost all semblance of pride years ago, I’d be remiss if I didn’t milk this for all its worth and go for the sympathy vote. Sure, some may argue that since my injuries occurred in 2024, technically the sympathy should only be valid for next year’s awards. To those people I say, mind your own business.
So, if you’re of a sympathetic mind, and even possibly have read my story, Dead Man’s Hand, published in the Game On! anthology then please consider giving it a favourable nod. And while you’re at it, give a vote to the Game On! Anthology edited by Stephen Kotowych and Tony Pi in the Best Related Work category.
In all seriousness, vote for whatever fine work of Canadian genre literature you feel is best. Just vote.
