For Hound of the Arcanum I decided to do my own cover art. I chose watercolour because oils are too high maintenance. I haven’t painted since high school and even then I wasn’t very good. Still, I’ve given it another go.
The working title for the novel had always been Lord Fenway’s Man, kind of a riff on the movie, Our Man Flint. Unfortunately I was the only one to ever like the title and so I changed it to Hound of the Arcanum and with the change came another cover concept.
